Life as a princess
What a girl Leah has been lately! She is so into dressing up like a princess- for play, Halloween, and around the house. One of Jarrod's coworkers gave him a whole suitcase full of dress up clothes, shoes, and accessories. It was like Christmas for Leah when she opened that up! Even when we go shopping now she has a say. I'll ask her if she wants a shirt or dress, guess what she'll say? I'm secretly glad that she's my girly girl. I told Jarrod she'll probably be a tomboy too with all his hobbies but let me enjoy the moment!
Leah is also excited in becoming a big sis. Still talks about the baby pretty much everyday. She'll give my tummy a kiss and lay her head down on it. A few times she has felt him kick and she looked at me like she was in shock. So since then, she's been feeling my tummy more often. Whenever we're out shopping and seems something kind of boyish, she's like "Maybe we should get this for my brother or something?" It's fun she's at the age she is now and understanding what's going on. I'm trying to treasure all these little moments with her because I know life is soon going to change and am worried that I'm going to miss out on some of the little things. Most of you know, I'm an emotional person already so just seeing her grow up so fast and knowing that life isn't going to be just about her anymore takes a toll on my hormones. Leah is definitely the center of our universe and having to soon share that with another maybe difficult but hopefully will come naturally. Only 11 more weeks to go until he meets his big sister!

Funny Things....
At this age Leah is saying such hilarious things. For example, she goes to the bathroom on her own, but needs help with #2. So when she was done she yelled "Daddy, wipe my butt!". So I go in there and proceed with the wipings, and notice that it was really green. I said to Leah, "Man Leah, your poop is really colorful." She responds "Thank You! It's beautiful!" I laughed so hard!
Another time we're at the dinner table, just the two of us, and I let out a big burp - Leah responds in a non-chalant tone "That was awesome daddy."
The upcoming baby is also another big topic for Leah. One time she put one of her toy babies under her shirt and started moving its legs saying "Look, the baby's kicking my tummy!"
Then there are the random things that only a 2 year old will say. For example, we're always telling here when things are backwards - like when she's putting on her pants. So now before she puts her pants on she says "This-wards?"
Definitely one of the most fun stages in life!

Lovin' Dance
As most of you know, Leah joined a dance class about 2 weeks ago every Thursday night. She LOVES it! When she first got into her little pink leotard, she said it was "so beautiful." It's amazing how well she listens in class. When she gets there, she immediately takes off her coat and runs to sit down with the rest of the group. All parents have to leave the first 25 minutes, however are able to peek in on your children. It's funny watching Leah. She is so attentive and claps her hands while the teachers are instructing them on what to do. Then the last 5 minutes, you're able to watch their little routine. What fun to watch. All the little girls are so cute in their leotards and tights! We can hardly wait until her dance recital December 5th!

The results are in!
I'm sure most of you know by know what the gender of Leah's sibling is . . . a boy! So looks like most of you who polled were correct! Give yourself a pat on the back. I've never seen Jarrod so excited before. I guess that makes a guy feel pretty manly to carry on the name, male bonding, etc. So there should be a nice balance in our family. Leah is still convinced it's a girl but we're working on that. She's excited no matter what that there is going to be a baby in the house. Here's a picture of our little guy!
