Picture Day

Weekend fun

It's been fun this busy weekend. Jarrod took the day off Friday to spend with the family so we took Leah bowling for the first time. Her favorite part was wearing the shoes! She told us that she wanted to take them home. Her attention to the game was pretty good. She loved using the ramp to push the ball down, which seemed to help her speed too. Then we had some fun playing arcade games. Jarrod taught Leah how to play Buck Hunter. You never know, maybe she'll be a famous hunter one day. Jackson just took all the sites in and didn't fuss once. What a good baby!
He rolled over from his tummy to his back last Friday and haven't seen him do it since. Oh well. They grow fast enough the way it is. I swear he's getting his first tooth and can even feel something in there but Jarrod thinks I'm full of it. I guess Jackson will show us! Leah is impressing us everyday in how much of a great sister she is. Jackson was fussing in the car today a little bit and Jarrod and I were trying to calm him down by singing and talking. Sure enough, Leah sings him Twinkle, Twinkle and quiets down! She has the magic touch. It's so cute watching him look at her in awe. What a cute pair we have!

Spring Update

Sorry, been awhile since our last update. I guess we can say, life has been busy! Leah is adapting very well to being a big sister. She's always there for Jackson- helping change his diapers, making him happy when he cries, singing songs to him, and washing him during bathtime. We are so proud of the good big sister she's becoming. Her new favorite movie is Princess and the Frog. She knows almost every song in it along with some phrases. Maybe she's watched it a little too much? She's now learning her letters and their sounds. She loves drawing the "H", which later becomes a square. She's still very into dressing up like a princess and probably does this everyday. She's always talking, which is a great thing but can drive you nuts if you're having a conversation with others!

Jackson (aka- Jax for short) is growing everyday it seems like. As of 3 months old, he was 12 pounds 2 ounces. He's now getting into his 3-6 month clothes. Kind of sad to pack away some of the 0-3 month ones! He's now babbling a lot and laughing. He is never crabby and seems to be just a happy little guy! Lots of smiles! He loves his big sister, TV, books, bathtime, and being out and about. All in all he's a pretty calm baby for now.

Kim was nervous about balancing 2 kids, work, and household chores but is doing well with it and can even take them grocery shopping! I'm sure that will get more tricky once Jax is walking but will enjoy for now. She wishes she could work less but appreciates the 4 days off every week that she has with them. Jarrod is doing a great job balancing things when he has to pick them up after work and having to be alone with them for 3 hours! He was nervous about this but is now a pro!

We're looking forward to spending lots of time outdoors and the small happenings this coming summer. I think these are the best times in life; being with your little ones and watching them grow into these little people (Not sure if Jarrod would agree :) ) We'll try and update this more often so keep tuned!

The next chapter

It's been awhile since we last posted. Guess we have to say, life has been crazy lately! Just with dr. appointments, a zillion Christmases, extra hours of work, getting the house ready, etc. is enough to say- busy! Leah and mommy had special time together before Christmas and goto see Disney Princess On Ice. Watching Leah in awe was pretty precious. I didn't think she would sit as good as she did but she loved every minute! Leah has also loved all the attention the past month with her birthday and Christmas and now soon to have a brother! She still likes to talk about all the things she got for her birthday and Christmas like her dollhouse daddy built her, all the fun clothes, princess toys, Barbies, and so on. Now with the baby on the way, she's been in his room everyday playing with his stuff and putting toys in his crib. Whenever we get a present from someone for her brother, it's fun to watch her say"Oh, it's so cute" or "That's for my brother!" She doesn't seem a bit jealous, yet. We definitely know she understands he's coming but not sure if she understands how soon. She'll be such a good big sister- we see it already. We think Leah is ready for this change in life and will love it. It'll be a big challenge having two children but will be worth every sleepless night and will love every minute! Leah has been our life and watchinng her grow into who she is now has been beyond words. So we're very excited for this new added chapter and can't wait for the next thing!
