At this age Leah is saying such hilarious things. For example, she goes to the bathroom on her own, but needs help with #2. So when she was done she yelled "Daddy, wipe my butt!". So I go in there and proceed with the wipings, and notice that it was really green. I said to Leah, "Man Leah, your poop is really colorful." She responds "Thank You! It's beautiful!" I laughed so hard!
Another time we're at the dinner table, just the two of us, and I let out a big burp - Leah responds in a non-chalant tone "That was awesome daddy."
The upcoming baby is also another big topic for Leah. One time she put one of her toy babies under her shirt and started moving its legs saying "Look, the baby's kicking my tummy!"
Then there are the random things that only a 2 year old will say. For example, we're always telling here when things are backwards - like when she's putting on her pants. So now before she puts her pants on she says "This-wards?"
Definitely one of the most fun stages in life!

Lovin' Dance
As most of you know, Leah joined a dance class about 2 weeks ago every Thursday night. She LOVES it! When she first got into her little pink leotard, she said it was "so beautiful." It's amazing how well she listens in class. When she gets there, she immediately takes off her coat and runs to sit down with the rest of the group. All parents have to leave the first 25 minutes, however are able to peek in on your children. It's funny watching Leah. She is so attentive and claps her hands while the teachers are instructing them on what to do. Then the last 5 minutes, you're able to watch their little routine. What fun to watch. All the little girls are so cute in their leotards and tights! We can hardly wait until her dance recital December 5th!

The results are in!
I'm sure most of you know by know what the gender of Leah's sibling is . . . a boy! So looks like most of you who polled were correct! Give yourself a pat on the back. I've never seen Jarrod so excited before. I guess that makes a guy feel pretty manly to carry on the name, male bonding, etc. So there should be a nice balance in our family. Leah is still convinced it's a girl but we're working on that. She's excited no matter what that there is going to be a baby in the house. Here's a picture of our little guy!

Leah's Preparing for Baby
Leah has been very excited to talk about what she's all going to do with her baby sister or brother. She talks about changing the diaper, singing to him/her, cuddling, feeding, and playing. Sometimes to get Leah to eat food she doesn't really want, I will say "Mommy eats this because it's good for the baby." Then Leah will eat it and say "I have to eat this for the baby." So cute! One day, I was going through some of her baby stuff and I found her in the living room- reminiscing!

Leah's Summer
Leah has had a funfilled summer so far. As you've read from the previous blogs, she's been to Wisconsin Dells in June. July was filled with playdates, zoo trips, 4th of July festivities, and a wedding.

In August, she went to the Le Sueur Giant Days parade, helped with a rummage sale, went to the Freeborn County Fair, and then to grandpa and grandma's house. While she was away, mom and dad had some good quality time together. Remembering times before children but still missed our little girl. It's funny how we had this time together without a child for the weekend but still thought of her a lot, even went shopping for her! Thanks grandpa and grandma for giving us a little break. Probably not too many of those when baby 2 comes!
