DisneyWorld: Day 1

Day 1:
As most of you know, Leah and I went on a trip to DisneyWorld with a friend of mine and her daughter. We thought this was a trip they'd love right now being as into princesses as they are. Who knows when that will wear off! So we decided to go for it!
We ended up staying at an airport hotel the night before we left just because of the snowy weather we had. I had to admit that I was worried if our plane was even going to fly out that morning but sure enough, it left 10 minutes late! Leah did great getting on the plane, chewing her gum, watching her movie, and keeping herself occupied with her friend Ellie. She was even laughing as the plane took off and landed. She said she could see daddy outside the window in his truck once we flew over Florida!

Once we landed, we got onto the Disney shuttle bus to take us to our hotel. The bus was luxiourious! A lot more comfy than the plane. It was playing Disney music and couldn't really understand a word our Cuban busdriver spoke but was exciting! Ellie fell asleep on the bus ride to the hotel but Leah was too pumped about everything. She was busy watching the video our bus played about DisneyWorld and looking out the window.
When we arrived at our hotel, we decided to take it easy the rest of the day. The girls went swimming, we picked up our stroller rentals, and ate at the hotel buffet- yummy! Our hotel was awesome! It was called Coronodo Springs Resort and had a mexican style to it. As big as it was, you couldn't tell it was busy there since it's so spread out. The girls even picked fallen flowers from all of the flower trees there! No way, did I miss the snow! We probably ended up going to bed around 9pm that night! We were beat and excited for the next day!

Jackson's 1st Birthday!

Can't believe our little guy is already 1 year old! That year sure flew fast. He's been such an easy going baby so really made the year a breeze! We celebrated his birthday at Grandpa Kent and Grandma Julie's house in Hartland on February 5th with family. Many people were there to celebrate including: all of his grandparents, Great Grandma Ardus and Omer, Great Grandpa Gaylord and Darlene, Uncle Derek with Cale and AJ, Uncle Joe with Timothy, Allie, Jacob, and Hannah,  and Uncle Josh. We thank everyone for making his day extra special! We're excited to see what lies ahead this year and all of the changes that will happen!

Leah's 4th Birthday

Last night was Leah's very first "friends" birthday party. She picked the theme of "Princess and the Frog". Due to snowy weather, 3 of her 5 friends were able to make it- Makenna, Ally, and Lauren. It was so fun to see Leah's excitement for her party. She went down for an afternoon nap right before it and when she woke up and saw all her decorations, she gasped and said "This is all for my party. It looks so nice mommy." It made me feel good that she appreciated all of my hard work. When her friends arrived, the all played for awhile then ate supper then played some games like "Stick the Lips on the Frog" and "Musical Lilypads". Next the played some more then ate cake and last, opened presents. She got a bunch of fun presents like: a Princess Cool Bake Oven, lip gloss, nail polish, Barbie and outfit, and an Ariel doll. Can't believe our first born is already 4 years old! Where did the time go? Anyways, we still have one more party to do with the family tomorrow and Leah is exicted. All these parties for one special girl.

Halloween!

The kids had a fun time trick or treating the streets of Le Sueur. It's weird to see how much Leah has changed and how her confidence has grown in the last year. She had no problem walking up to a strangers house to say trick or treat and didn't really need us by her side. How our little girl is growing! It was fun seeing her have fun. She told us while we were walking that "This is so fun!" Jackson did great just watching Leah do her thing while he sat in his stroller. He kept warm in his fun little "Abu" costume! As the kids were in their innocent Disney costumes, daddy sported a scary mask. Leah wasn't too sure about it at first but then it grew on her and she even wore it a few times. In addition to trick or treating, we went to my friends home the night before to check out their "Tunnel of Terror". Even Leah had the guts to walk through with mom and dad while Jax slept peacefully in the car with a babysitter. We told them to keep it mellow since their was kids going through and we thought that was freaky! As with anything, this holiday went too quickly and now onto the next one!
